01

Overview

Salesforce unveiled AIforce on September 16, 2026 at Dreamforce. AIforce is not a new foundation model. It is a live, headless interface layer designed to make Salesforce data, workflows, business logic, semantics, permissions, security and governance available to AI interfaces and agents without requiring users to navigate the traditional Salesforce UI.

The launch matters because Salesforce is turning its CRM platform into infrastructure that agents can invoke. AIforce is powered by the Salesforce Headless Toolkit, which exposes platform capabilities through Model Context Protocol (MCP), APIs, plug-ins, command-line tools and skills. Salesforce says the architecture lets teams build AI experiences on top of the permissions and business rules they already use rather than creating a separate authorization layer.

AIforce launches through three major surfaces: Claudeforce, Slackforce and Agentforce Coworker. Salesforce in Claude is the clearest external example. It packages Salesforce as a prebuilt MCP server inside Claude and launches with 37 prebuilt sales skills covering work such as prospecting and pipeline hygiene. Salesforce says it is now available to all customers in beta. This is a material availability change from the earlier Claudeforce pilot, so ProjectMonet.space's existing Claudeforce article should be refreshed rather than duplicated.

02

How AIforce works

Slackforce brings Salesforce context and actions into Slack. Salesforce describes Slackforce Surfaces as live interfaces that combine Salesforce, Slack and other context, while Slack CRM can create accounts, log notes and update records through prompts. Slack Code is a related collaborative coding-agent experience inside Slack.

Agentforce Coworker is the Salesforce-native surface. Salesforce says it can reason across accounts, activity and history, take actions under existing permissions and call specialized Agentforce agents already deployed by a customer. Salesforce says Coworker is instantly available to Salesforce customers.

03

Headless access and integrations

The privacy claim deserves careful wording. Salesforce says AIforce can operate with Zero Data Retention, meaning business data used for a request is not retained by the model provider. That is a Salesforce-described architecture and policy claim, not an independent security certification. Organizations should still evaluate the exact provider, data path, retention controls and contractual terms relevant to their deployment.

Salesforce has not published a standalone universal AIforce price in the launch material reviewed here. Its release explicitly says pricing and packaging are subject to change and availability may vary by region and customer agreement. Do not infer that every AIforce surface is free or included with every Salesforce edition.

For developers, the most important layer is the Headless Toolkit. Salesforce's current Trailhead documentation says it decouples the platform from a fixed UI and makes Salesforce accessible through MCP servers, APIs, CLI commands and Skills. That makes AIforce relevant beyond Salesforce admins: developers can build agents or custom AI interfaces that use governed CRM context without treating Salesforce as a manually operated browser application.

04

Security, availability and limits

The likely early search questions are therefore not only 'what is AIforce?' but also how AIforce MCP works, how the Headless Toolkit differs from Agentforce, whether AIforce costs extra, which products are available now, how Salesforce in Claude is enabled, and how its Zero Data Retention claim works.

Important limitations: AIforce is a newly launched platform layer and individual surfaces have different maturity and availability. Some integrations and skills are explicitly future-facing. Pricing is not yet stable enough to state as a universal figure. Vendor adoption and productivity claims should be attributed to Salesforce rather than treated as independent benchmarks.

05

Why AIforce matters

FAQ: Is AIforce the same as Agentforce? No. Agentforce is Salesforce's agent platform; AIforce is the broader interface/headless layer that exposes Salesforce capabilities to AI surfaces, including Agentforce Coworker. Does AIforce use MCP? Yes, Salesforce documents MCP as one of the Headless Toolkit interfaces alongside APIs, CLI commands and Skills. Is Salesforce in Claude available? Salesforce's September 16 launch says it is now available to all customers in beta. Does AIforce have a standalone price? No universal standalone price was published in the launch material reviewed here.
